Each hit with this dagger raises both your Attack Speed and your damage for 4 seconds, and each bonus builds up to its own maximum. The values are rolled on each drop. Because every bonus lasts only 4 seconds, the dagger pays off when the Rogue attacks without long pauses.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Since patch 3.1.0 every Unique drops with two fixed affixes, and on Asheara's Khanjar they are Weapon Damage and Maximum Life. It is class-locked: only the Rogue can equip it. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Asheara's Khanjar is part of the loot table of Astaroth, the boss at the end of Escalating Nightmare Dungeons; the boss element type is Fire. An Escalation Sigil opens the run, and Astaroth needs Torment 1 or higher. The Rogue part of that table also lists Eyes in the Dark and Gladiator's Triumph.
