The power of Axial Conduit

Each time you cast Chain Lightning there is a 50% chance that it activates again, from 1 up to a rolled maximum number of additional times. The pants do not change what Chain Lightning does, they only make it repeat. They also carry a fixed skill rank for Chain Lightning.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Since patch 3.1.0 every Unique drops with two fixed affixes, and on Axial Conduit they are Primary Core Stat and Skill Ranks to Chain Lightning. It is class-locked: only the Sorcerer can equip it. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Where it comes from

Axial Conduit is part of the loot table of Bartuc, Lord of Chaos, who waits at the end of an Infernal Hordes run, entered in Kehjistan near the Yshari Sanctum Waypoint; the boss element type is Fire and Shadow. An Infernal Hordes Compass opens the run, facing Bartuc takes 666 Burning Aether collected in it, and he needs Torment 1 or higher. The Sorcerer part of that table also lists Ophidian Iris and Raiment of the Infinite.
