Diablo 4 Orphan Maker Rogue Unique Crossbow

Basic and Core Skills that use this weapon now Reload. Reload Skills deal increased damage, and every second Reload Skill adds a further 100% to that bonus for 2 seconds.

Because the stack grows on every other cast, the weapon rewards a steady rhythm of shots. A long gap between casts lets the 2-second window run out and the bonus falls back to its base value.

Reload is a game keyword. It adds a slight delay after the cast in which the same skill cannot be used again, and the damage and reload speed of that skill benefit from part of your Attack Speed bonus. That makes the pause shorter on a fast build. Orphan Maker forces the keyword onto both Basic and Core Skills fired with it, and the always-present Skill Ranks to Marksman Skills affix points the weapon at the Rogue's Marksman skills.

The bonus counts Reload Skills specifically: every second one adds 100% for 2 seconds. Since both Basic and Core Skills fired from the crossbow become Reload Skills, the Basic Skill that builds your resource contributes to the stack just as a Core Skill does, so you do not have to spend resource to keep the bonus alive.

• Slot and class: Two-handed crossbow, usable by Rogue.
• Fixed affixes: it always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Marksman Skills.

• Torment I difficulty unlocked.

Which class can use Orphan Maker?

Only the Rogue. It is a two-handed crossbow, so it takes the whole weapon slot.

Do both Basic and Core Skills count?

Yes. The power names both categories, as long as the skill is fired with this weapon.
