The power of Leoric's Crown

The crown counts as jewelry and increases the effect of any gem socketed into it. The fixes listed in the launch notes made sure the crown applies Soul Splinter effects, can be enchanted at the Occultist and unlocks its transmog appearance when salvaged. The strength of the gem bonus is rolled on each drop.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Every class can equip it. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Where it comes from

Season 15 introduced it with the other legacy Uniques as a permanent addition, available on both the Seasonal and the Eternal realm. It drops from the new Capstone dungeons of Baal, Mephisto and Diablo, outside the Lair Boss system, so any of those bosses can drop it.

No. Six of the nine legacy Uniques are available as Unique Charms: Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom and The Furnace. The crown is not among them.

Can Leoric's Crown drop as a Mythic Unique?

Yes. Every Unique can drop at Mythic quality, and a Mythic Unique has a 30% stronger Unique power.
