Wolves of the storm

Your Wolf Companions are infused with the power of the storm, dealing increased Lightning damage and gaining the Storm Howl ability.

The pants change the wolves in two ways at once: they deal increased Lightning damage, and they gain a new ability on top of their normal bites and Feral Dash.

Wolves in short

Wolves is a Companion skill of the Druid with a cooldown. Passively it keeps wolf companions at your side to bite enemies, and its active part commands them to use Feral Dash, lunging at enemies. Upgrades in the game data include Additional Wolf, Werewolf Pack (the wolves become Werewolf companions with 50% bonus damage), Attack Speed and Thrill of the Hunt, which doubles the effect of all Wolves' upgrades. The pants always drop with a main stat and Skill Ranks to Wolves.

Storm Howl is the ability named in the power; the pants add it to what the wolves can do. A Druid without Wolves on the bar gets nothing from the item. Two Wolves upgrades from the game data work next to the Lightning bonus: Berserking (commanding the wolves grants Berserking for 4 seconds) and Stun (enemies hit by Feral Dash are Stunned). Lightning is also the damage type of the Druid's Storm skills, so a storm-themed build shares the element.
