Holy Bolt starts Purify

Lucky Hit: Holy Bolt has up to a 40% chance to trigger Purify. Purify causes enemies to take increased damage from you for 4 seconds.

Purify is a cooldown skill, and the ring also triggers it from Holy Bolt hits. The damage bonus is on the enemies, so it benefits every skill you cast while they are marked.

Holy Bolt and Purify

Holy Bolt is a Basic Paladin skill that generates Faith: you throw a Holy hammer. Its upgrades include Ricocheting Bolt, Divine Bolt (it pierces and applies Vulnerable) and Damage Increase, which Season 15 changed from applying Judgement to 20% more damage. Purify is a Justice skill with a cooldown that enshrouds your enemies in the Light and Dazes them, and its upgrades include Echo (it echoes twice outward) and Sentence (it also Judges). The ring always drops with a main stat and Attack Speed, which makes the Lucky Hit rolls come faster.

Because the trigger is a Lucky Hit, the chance applies to each hit of Holy Bolt and increases with Lucky Hit Chance from other gear.
