Run to speed up

Moving grants Ferocity, and Maximum Ferocity is increased. Ferocity also increases Movement Speed per stack. The stacks come from walking and running, not from hitting enemies, so the axe works even when you are not in a fight.

Each stack also gives Attack Speed through the Ferocity keyword, so the axe speeds up both your steps and your attacks.

Ferocity in short

Ferocity is a keyword that increases your Attack Speed per stack. By default it stacks up to 4 times and each stack lasts 4 seconds, which is why the axe also raises the maximum. Other classes get Ferocity from specific skills, but this axe gives it to Druid, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin and Warlock alike. The axe always drops with Weapon Damage and Attack Speed.

The Sorcerer, Rogue and Spiritborn cannot equip it. As a one-handed weapon, it leaves the off-hand slot open for a shield, focus or totem.
