Diablo 4 Mother's Embrace Unique Ring

If a Core Skill hits 4 or more enemies, part of its Resource cost is refunded. The trigger counts targets, not damage, so it fires in any pack fight where your main spender reaches four monsters at once.

A refund lets a Core Skill pay back a good share of itself when the pack is thick. Against a single boss the condition is never met, which makes this ring a clearing tool and not a boss tool.

Core Skills are the main spenders of every class: they use the class resource and deliver most of the damage of a build, while Basic Skills are the ones that build the resource back up. A refund therefore gives back part of your largest expense, and it scales with how often you cast. Since the ring checks the number of enemies hit and not the class, the same item can serve a Barbarian spending Fury and a Sorcerer spending Mana.

Four targets is a low bar for an area skill, and the check happens on every cast. Skills that cleave, pierce or explode will usually qualify in an open fight, while single-target spenders rarely do. The ring does not change the cost of the skill itself; it returns part of it after the hit lands.

• Slot and class: Ring, usable by every class.
• Fixed affixes: it always drops with Primary Core Stat and Critical Strike Chance.
• Unique Charm: a Unique Charm version of this item exists.

• Torment I difficulty unlocked.

Which classes can wear Mother's Embrace?

All of them. Any character can equip it, so it fits whatever class you are gearing.

Does the refund work on Basic Skills?

No. The power names Core Skills only, and Basic Skills do not spend resource in the first place.
