Shred that keeps striking

Shred deals 45-60% more damage, and Shred has a 33% chance to land an additional strike, up to 4 times. Patch 3.1 raised the damage bonus from 20-25% to 45-60% and the chance from 25% to 33%.

The cap of 4 limits how many extra strikes one cast can add.

Shred in short

Shred is a Core Druid skill that costs Spirit. It is a three-part combo: a first attack, a second attack and a larger finishing move. Its upgrades include Critical Shred (a guaranteed critical strike on the first attack), Roundhouse (the third attack becomes a 360 degree swipe), Cast Speed (20% faster) and Storm Shred, which makes it a Storm skill. Two 3.1 fixes concern this axe: it now gives Shred its intended fourth attack, and it no longer grants 100% critical strike chance when coming out of Stealth. It always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Shred.

Cast Speed matters here because every cast has the chance to chain; more casts per second mean more chances for extra strikes.
