Resistance that follows the damage

When you take damage from a Non-Physical damage type, you gain a large Resistance bonus to that damage type for 6 seconds. This effect can only apply to one damage type at a time.

The bonus reacts to the first hit, so a monster that fires fire projectiles triggers a fire resistance that covers its next attacks for 6 seconds.

One type at a time

The one-at-a-time rule is the limit of the pants: against a boss that mixes several elements, only one of them is covered at any moment. Against enemies and encounters that stick to one element, the pants act like an automatic counter. They always drop with a main stat and All Resistances, which give a base against every element.

Physical damage is excluded from the trigger, so the pants do not add protection against ordinary melee hits. Season 15 also made each Single Resistance affix worth 7 times an All Resistance affix.
