Designated Hitter Marksman Rifle

Designated Hitter is a support-minded marksman rifle. Perfect Reformation grants a skill repair bonus for 15 seconds after a headshot, so a sniper who also runs a Hive or other repair skill heals allies faster each time the shot lands. The SR-1 is a bolt-action rifle with an industrial skin, which suits a team role where you hold a perch and keep the group topped up.

On a normal SR-1 the same idea would show up as Reformation. Designated Hitter comes with Perfect Reformation, the perfect form, locked in.

• 'High Stats (90%+)' targets a copy with attributes rolled at nine tenths of the maximum or better.
• With 'Upgrade to Prototype' the copy is converted at level 40 and maximum Expertise into the quality that sits above named items.
• Extras holds a single choice, 'Self-play (Sherpa)', for taking part in the run yourself.
• The Quantity selector allows up to ten copies.

• Your Agent is at level 40.
• Expertise level 30 is required if you tick the Prototype upgrade.

What does the repair bonus apply to?

Skill repair: the healing done by skills such as the Restorer Hive, not weapon damage.

Do body shots count?

No. The talent reacts to headshots only, so it rewards accurate aim at long range.

Where can Designated Hitter be found in the game?

Marksman rifle targeted loot is the focused route; otherwise it falls from enemies, vendors and weapon chests.
