In The Division 2, Swap Chain is the named version of the MP7, a submachine gun with Perfect Unwavering as its fixed talent. Its debut was Title Update 6. Swapping to it adds a big weapon handling bonus for five seconds.

Using Perfect Unwavering

Perfect Unwavering rewards fast weapon swaps. Drawing Swap Chain grants a very large weapon handling bonus for a few seconds, and kills refresh the timer. While it lasts, the MP7 is almost perfectly accurate and reloads quickly. Swapping away disables the bonus on all weapons for a short cooldown, so it is best as the second gun you pull for short, decisive moments.

The ordinary talent behind Perfect Unwavering is Unwavering; the perfect version on Swap Chain is the improved form, fixed on the weapon.

What you get

The 'High Stats (90%+)' choice is for players who want attribute rolls close to the cap, from 90% up.
'Upgrade to Prototype' is optional: it converts the weapon, at a cost of one Prototype Core, into the tier above Gear Set items.
The only extra is 'Self-play (Sherpa)', for those who prefer to play alongside.
Need more than one? Quantity accepts any number from 1 to 10.

Requirements

Character level 40.
For 'Upgrade to Prototype': the weapon must be at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30).

Swap Chain FAQ: common questions

What happens when I swap away?

The bonus stops and cannot be gained on any weapon for a short cooldown, which stops rapid back-and-forth swapping from abusing it.

Does it help with the Striker gear set?

Yes. With the handling bonus active the MP7 hits reliably, which builds Striker's stacks quickly.

What are the in-game sources of Swap Chain?

It can drop from enemies, vendors and weapon chests, and it appears in targeted loot for submachine gun activities.
