The bonus it carries

The White Death does not carry a perfect talent. Its named identity is a built-in bonus to headshot damage on top of the Classic M44 Carbine's bolt-action frame, which makes it a plain, high-damage sniper-style rifle for players who aim for the head. Without a talent to maintain, the weapon is simple to use: line up the shot, take it, reload. The rifle has the long optics rail and short underbarrel rail of its base weapon.
