Interchange SMG

Interchange takes the weapon-swap talent to the submachine gun slot. Pulling it out boosts fire rate and weapon damage for 10 seconds, while swapping away gives a smaller bonus to your other weapon. A close-range gun is a natural second weapon next to a rifle or machine gun: you open at range, then swap in for the burst when enemies close the gap. The AUG A3P frame holds a 25 round magazine.

The ordinary talent behind Perfect Back and Forth is Back and Forth; the perfect version on Interchange is the improved form, fixed on the weapon.

• Platform choice: PC, PlayStation or Xbox, and Interchange goes to that account.
• Completion Method: Piloted or Self-play (Sherpa).
• The 'High Stats (90%+)' choice is for players who want attribute rolls close to the cap, from 90% up.
• 'Upgrade to Prototype' is optional: it converts the weapon, at a cost of one Prototype Core, into the tier above Gear Set items.
• Quantity goes from 1 to 10, so several copies fit into one order.

• A character that has reached level 40.
• Choosing the Prototype upgrade needs the SMG at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30).

How long does the swap bonus last?

Ten seconds after you draw the weapon. Drawing it again does not stack the bonus, it replaces a still-active one.

Does it work with the Trader rifle?

You can carry both, but the talent cannot run twice at once, so the second instance will not add to the first.

Is it better as a main or a second weapon?

As the second weapon: the bonus starts when you draw it, so a close-range SMG that you swap to at the right moment uses the talent best.
