Foam At The Mouth in play

A headshot kill primes the talent: the next enemy you hit becomes Ensnared.
Against an Ensnared target your weapon damage is amplified by 25%.
The base D50 carries a 100% headshot damage modifier, so the pistol suits players who aim for the head anyway.

Where it comes from

Rabid D50 dropped from Gear Caches during the Dust Storm event (21 July to 11 August 2026) with a 10% chance, and the Prototype version with 1%. That event is closed. The Red Moon Unleashed event, 15 October to 3 November 2026, lists Rabid D50 among the Seasonal Named Items of its Gear Cache pool, so the pistol has an active source until that date.
