The six looks of Xal'atath

Xal'atath, Blade of the Black Empire (Classic): the base look, given with the weapon. Extra tints: one Pillar of Creation; the priest quest Velen's Vision; Light's Heart (the quest Light's Charge).
Embrace of the Old Gods (Upgraded): Forged for Battle, the priest order campaign plus A Hero's Weapon; eight weekly Archaeology quests for This Side Up; Artifact Knowledge 25 (Part of History); 34 artifact traits on one weapon, the Power Realized goal. Only priests that finished Power Realized and Part of History before Shadowlands can still complete Embrace of the Old Gods.
The Fallen Blade (Valorous): Improving on History through the Balance of Power chain; Keystone Master with a timed +5 Mythic Keystone dungeon; eight world bosses of the Broken Isles for Unleashed Monstrosities; the Mythic dungeon meta Glory of the Legion Hero.
Vision of Madness (War-torn): honor tints open at levels 10, 30, 50 and 80.
Twisted Reflection (Challenging): Mage Tower quest Thwarting the Twins. Closed since Battle for Azeroth.
Claw of N'Zoth (Hidden): starts with the item of the same name, dropped by Il'gynoth in The Emerald Nightmare. Later tints: 30 dungeons, 200 world quests, 1,000 player kills with Claw of N'Zoth on.

Since patch 9.1.5 the Mage Tower pays Tomb of Sargeras recolors to priests, never Twisted Reflection.

Shadow Priest Artifact FAQ

Can Twisted Reflection still be earned?

No. Twisted Reflection was a Mage Tower reward that ended with Battle for Azeroth.

Can a new account still finish Embrace of the Old Gods?

Usually not. Priests who lack Power Realized and Part of History, both Legacy since 8.0.1, cannot finish Embrace of the Old Gods.
