• Any of the eight types ticked on the form, at Rare, Legendary or Unique rarity.
• Each rarity has its own name: Rare is the plain Splinter, Legendary the Greater Splinter and Unique the Abyssal Splinter.
• Spare splinters found along the way, plus the other loot and materials, stay on your account.

• Anguish (Andariel): Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance, but Primary Resource costs rise.
• Sin (Azmodan): Maximum Life at the cost of Maximum Primary Resource.
• Lies (Belial): more gold, materials and experience, while you stay Weakened and Vulnerable.
• The Black Soulstone: damage for every soul it absorbs, with more damage taken per soul.
• Pain (Duriel): Damage Reduction in exchange for slower movement.
• The Mother (Lilith): Unhindered, and enemies you touch turn Vulnerable, until too many touches Stun you.
• Hellfire (Na-Krul): a damage multiplier that removes Critical Strikes.
• Damnation (Skarn): elite kills raise Monster Power and experience for a short time.

• A Season 15 character in Softcore or Hardcore: Soul Splinters belong to Season of Hell's Legacy.
• Lord of Hatred when an upgrade is needed, because Amalgamation runs in the Horadric Cube, an expansion system.

Can I socket two of the same type?

No, each type fits once per build.

Do they fit anywhere besides rings and the amulet?

Leoric's Crown, one of the nine Legacy Uniques of Season 15, also takes Soul Splinters in the helm.
