A firestorm that grows

Picking up a Storm Feather forms a firestorm around you for 12 seconds, dealing Fire damage every 0.5 seconds, scaled by your weapon damage. Every 5 additional Storm Feathers you pick up intensifies the firestorm, increasing its damage by 100%, without refreshing its duration.

Storm Feathers are now Jaguar Skills, and the firestorm counts as an Eagle, Jaguar and Storm Feather Skill. Before Season 15 the firestorm lasted 8 seconds; the Season 15 notes raised that to 12.

Why the tags matter

The extra skill tags are what link the amulet to the rest of a Spiritborn build: bonuses that apply to Jaguar skills, to Eagle skills or to Storm Feather skills all apply to the firestorm. Each group of 5 additional feathers adds 100% to the damage, and because the duration does not refresh, the amulet works best when feathers keep arriving during the 12 seconds. It always drops with a main stat and a Fire Damage Multiplier.

Damage every 0.5 seconds adds up to many separate hits across the 12 seconds.
