About Forbearance

Forbearance is an Arc Grenade Launcher for the Energy slot that uses Special ammo. Its intrinsic is the Wave Frame, a one-shot handheld launcher frame whose shots release a wave of energy on ground contact. The origin trait is Souldrinker: health returns based on how many hits land before a reload. It drops in the Vow of the Disciple raid from The Witch Queen. Since the Monument of Triumph update, craftable raid weapons carry updated perk pools and can be upgraded to match tiered weapons.

Crafting the Pattern

The Pattern record in the game data asks for 5 Deepsight extractions on Forbearance. Patterns come from red-border Deepsight weapons, and shaping happens at the Relic in The Enclave, where you choose the intrinsic, barrel, magazine and two traits.

What you get

Your account gains the Forbearance Pattern, so the weapon can be crafted.
Deepsight versions of Forbearance on your character, enough to reach the 5 extractions the Pattern asks for.
The optional Self-play (Sherpa) extra, if you want to take part in the run.

Requirements

Access to the Vow of the Disciple raid, which needs The Witch Queen expansion.
Weapon crafting unlocked: it opens with the opening Witch Queen missions on Savathun's Throne World, which are open to every player.

Forbearance FAQ

Where does Forbearance drop?

In the Vow of the Disciple raid. It is one of the raid's craftable weapons, so its Pattern is unlocked from Deepsight versions.

What does the Forbearance Pattern let me do?

It lets you craft Forbearance instead of waiting for a drop: you pick the intrinsic, barrel, magazine and traits yourself. Higher weapon levels unlock better frames and more perks.

Which origin trait does Forbearance have?

Souldrinker: health returns based on how many hits land before a reload.
