Vault of Glass is one of three raids that Destiny 2 hands to every player at no cost. The raid dates from the launch year of the original Destiny, and Bungie returned it to Destiny 2 on 22 May 2021 with Season of the Splicer. It sits in the Ishtar Sink on Venus and ends with Atheon, Time's Conflux. Up to six Guardians can run it together.
What you can buy here
- Vex Mythoclast: Solar Exotic fusion rifle
- Vault of Glass Raid: Full run, last boss, Master or Flawless
- Master Vault of Glass: Master mode with Timelost weapons
- Timelost Fatebringer: Timelost variant of a Kinetic Hand Cannon
- Fatebringer: Kinetic Hand Cannon, Adaptive Frame
Loot
The raid's exotic is Vex Mythoclast, a fusion rifle, and the Vaultstrider ship is another exotic item of the raid. Six legendary weapons come from it: Fatebringer, a hand cannon; Vision of Confluence, a scout rifle; Praedyth's Revenge, a sniper rifle; Corrective Measure, a machine gun; Found Verdict, a shotgun; and Hezen Vengeance, a rocket launcher. Each of the six also exists as a Timelost edition. Finishing the Vault of Glass triumphs earns the Fatebreaker seal, and Bungie's data places the Vex Mythoclast catalyst inside the raid.
Lot types in this section
- Raid clears: a Vault of Glass run, a Master Vault of Glass run and a Flawless run.
- Exotic runs: Vex Mythoclast, plus a Weekly Rotation Vex Mythoclast lot ordered by the number of runs.
- Weapons: each base weapon, ordered as random-perk rolls or as a crafting pattern unlock with a Collection check, and each Timelost edition, with random perks or with one or two perks you choose from a list.
- Bundles: a Patterns Bundle, a Timelost Weapons Bundle, and a Master clear sold together with all six Timelost weapons.
- Armor and title: the raid armor set and the Fatebreaker seal.
Choices on the main lot
The Vault of Glass lot is split into a full completion, a final-boss run, Master difficulty and a Flawless completion. Weekly challenges can be added one by one: Strangers in Time, Ensemble's Refrain, Out of Its Way, Wait for It and the Oracle challenge. On the Master lot the challenges carry the names of the Conflux, Oracles, Templar, Gatekeeper and Atheon encounters, and a single challenge can be ordered. Four secret chests or a Vex Mythoclast run can be added, and the main lot takes up to 20 runs per order.
Requirements
No purchase is needed to enter, because Bungie counts Vault of Glass among the raids available to all players, with King's Fall and Crota's End. Beyond that, each lot states its own conditions. Master and Flawless runs suit characters with the strength for them, and the weapon lots ask for the weapon's status in your Collection.
FAQ
Is this the raid from the original Destiny?
It is a rebuilt version of that raid. Bungie's activity list for Destiny 2 has a Standard version, a Challenge Mode and a Master version.
What are Timelost weapons?
They are the alternate editions of the six raid weapons. The lots carry Timelost in their titles, and one bundle pairs a Master clear with all six.
How is Vex Mythoclast ordered?
As runs of the raid. One lot sells the exotic, and the Weekly Rotation lot sells runs by their number.
Is Vault of Glass featured every week?
No. Bungie features two raids per week and changes the pair at the Tuesday reset, so Vault of Glass takes its turn. The weapons and the seal stay the same.
