Equilibrium is the dungeon of the Renegades expansion, released in December 2025, and the latest dungeon added to Destiny 2. Bungie's one-line description reads "between fire and shadow, the path to balance". The dungeon is set on Venus, around the Praxic Temple that the Barant Imperium's Dredgens are pillaging. One to three players can enter, and Bungie's activity data lists a Standard version and a Contest version. Access requires the Renegades expansion.

Loot
- Exotic: Heirloom, an exotic combat bow. Its catalyst is acquired in the dungeon, and bonus progress comes from multiple final blows. Bungie's data also holds an attunement item: attuning to one piece of gear raises its drop chance at each encounter, one piece at a time.
- Weapons: High Tyrant (pulse rifle), Zealous Ideal (auto rifle), Sullen Claw (sword), Conspiracy Honed (sniper rifle), Voltaic Shade (scout rifle) and Bitter End (machine gun).
- Armor and title: an Equilibrium armor set and the Praxic title.
The Way Between
The Way Between is the quest line of the dungeon. Its steps send the player to speak with Aunor, stop the Imperium's Dredgens at the Praxic Temple, recover relics stolen from it, open the Taken portal in the inner temple and finally defeat the lingering shade of Dredgen Sere. The quest is sold as a lot, and the Heirloom Catalyst is a further step with a lot of its own.

Choices on the main lot
The Equilibrium lot lets you pick a normal completion, a final-boss run, a completion in under twenty minutes, a solo completion or a Solo Flawless completion. Feats can be added by name: Phase Race, Cutthroat Combat, Battalions and Token Limit, plus a Challenge Encounter. Extras cover secret chests, a search for all collectibles, the Heirloom exotic and The Way Between quest, for one to three characters.
Requirements
The Renegades expansion, or Destiny 2: The Collection, which includes it. Catalyst progress is made by getting kills with the Heirloom bow itself, so the catalyst lot expects the bow to be in your Collection already.
FAQ
Is Equilibrium available today?
Yes. Bungie lists it among the eleven playable dungeons, and Update 9.7.0 in June 2026 did not remove it.
Which exotic does Equilibrium give?
Heirloom, an exotic combat bow.
How many players can enter?
One to three.
