The Heat archetype

Bitter End uses the Balanced Heat Weapon frame: it generates very little heat, reload vents the heat, overheating forces a long vent, and venting at very high heat is much faster than at low heat.

Because it fires from reserves rather than reloading, the way to keep it running is to manage heat. Its origin trait, Imperial Allegiance, grants a cooling bonus near allies and extra damage at high heat.

The heatsink and barrel slots are random too, and the lot's Weapon Tier options set how enhanced the copy is. At Tier 5 the game also unlocks a Combat Flair kill effect and a Tier 5 ornament slot.

It vents instead: pressing reload vents the heat, and the weapon does not use a normal magazine reload.

What do the Weapon Tier options change?

Gear Tiers run from 1 to 5. Weapons unlock Enhanced Weapon Mods at Gear Tier 3, and Tier 5 weapons add a Combat Flair kill effect and a Tier 5 ornament slot.

Is the Equilibrium dungeon still available?

Yes. Equilibrium is on the current dungeon list, and since Update 9.7.0 a featured dungeon drops Tier 5 weapons and armor on Standard and a non-featured one Tier 3.
