King's Fall is one of the Destiny 2 raids open to every player, and this coaching lot takes you through a run of it with the mechanics explained as you play. The raid Exotic, the armor set and the raid weapons can be added to the order.

Key facts

Raid	King's Fall, added in Year 5; open to all players; up to 6 players
Challenge modes	The Grass Is Always Greener, Devious Thievery, Gaze Amaze, Under Construction, Hands Off
Weapons	Defiance of Yasmin, Doom of Chelchis, Midha's Reckoning, Qullim's Terminus, Smite of Merain, Zaouli's Bane
Origin trait	Runneth Over: reloading near allies overflows the magazine; bows draw faster and swords charge faster
Exotic	Touch of Malice: Kinetic Scout Rifle
Triumphs	King's Ransom (hidden chests), Bone of the King (Oryx with Touch of Malice), Brilliant Instability (Golgoroth)

What a run covers

Raids need a fireteam of up to six, and Bungie calls them highly complex, with very tough enemies and bosses.
The raid has three hidden chests, whose looting is the King's Ransom triumph, and an Oryx fight tied to the Bone of the King triumph, which asks you to defeat Oryx with Touch of Malice equipped.
It has five challenge modes, The Grass Is Always Greener, Devious Thievery, Gaze Amaze, Under Construction and Hands Off, each with its own triumph; King of Kings asks for all five in the Master tier.
The Brilliant Instability triumph asks you to use unstable Light against Golgoroth.

Why the weekly reset matters

Raid encounters, checkpoints and challenges reset every Tuesday at 17:00 UTC, which sets how often rewards can be earned. Update 9.7.0 also lets the older Armor 2.0 raid pieces be focused at Hawthorne for ten Spoils of Conquest each, so a coaching run can aim at weapons and Exotics rather than armor.

What the raid pays

The raid's weapons are Zaouli's Bane, Smite of Merain, Qullim's Terminus, Midha's Reckoning, Doom of Chelchis and Defiance of Yasmin, with the Runneth Over origin trait. The Exotic is Touch of Malice, a Kinetic scout rifle. The armor is Oryx's Memory.

What you get

One run of King's Fall with coaching.
Extras: the raid Exotic, the raid armor set and the raid weapons, each added to the order.

Requirements

King's Fall. Open to every player; no expansion is needed.
