What defines Permafrost

Wave Frame is what defines Permafrost: a one-shot handheld Grenade Launcher whose projectiles send out a wave of energy when they hit the ground. It counts as a counter to Unstoppable Champions (stagger).

The perk pool right now

The left trait column can roll Attrition Orbs, Overflow, Blast Distributor, Rimestealer, Demolitionist, Impromptu Ammunition or Lead from Gold. The right trait column can roll Desperate Measures, Crystalline Corpsebloom, One for All, Reaper's Tithe, Pugilist, Wellspring or Adrenaline Junkie. The origin trait slot lists Dawning Surprise and Field-Tested.

Where Permafrost comes from today

The Dawning event was retired with Update 9.7.0; the launcher now comes from the Dawning Weapon Engram at the Tenet of Bravery vendor (bought with Legendary Marks).

What you get

Permafrost farmed to the roll type chosen under Weapon Perks: a roll with random perks, a roll with 1 chosen perk, or a God Roll with 2 chosen perks.
A Rolls counter from 1 to 30 sets how many rolls are farmed, and Weapon Tier is Tier 3, Tier 4 or Tier 5.
With the two chosen-perk settings you tell the pro player which perk or perks you want, through the form entry Specify to a pro player.

Requirements

An account with the Monument of Triumph, which is open to every player and sells the retired event weapons.

Permafrost FAQ

Can I pick the perks I want?

Yes. Under Weapon Perks, pick the roll with 1 chosen perk or the God Roll with 2 chosen perks and name the perks; the pool is the one listed above. With random perks, the drops decide.

What does the Weapon Tier option change?

Tiers build on one another: higher tiers add more perks, enhanced mods and, at Tier 5, special traits. The option sets the tier the weapon is farmed at.

How does Wave Frame play on Permafrost?

A one-shot handheld Grenade Launcher whose projectiles send out a wave of energy when they hit the ground.
