The power of Malefic Crescent

Blood Howl is cast automatically when you shapeshift into a Werewolf and every 4 seconds while you stay in Werewolf form. Each time Blood Howl triggers, you also gain bonus damage for 4 seconds. The amulet carries a fixed skill rank for Blood Howl.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Since patch 3.1.0 every Unique drops with two fixed affixes, and on Malefic Crescent they are Primary Core Stat and Skill Ranks to Blood Howl. It is class-locked: only the Druid can equip it. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Where it comes from

Malefic Crescent is part of the loot table of the Beast in the Ice, a Lair Boss found at the Glacial Fissure, south-west of Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks; the boss element type is Cold. The fight needs Torment 1 or higher, and 1x Lair Key opens the Hoard after the kill. The Druid part of that table also lists Accord of the Wilds and Airidah's Inexorable Will.
