Basic Skills on a three-beat rhythm

Your Basic Skills deal 180-220% increased damage and always use their 3rd attack. Every 3rd cast of a Basic Skill strikes three times.

The damage bonus has grown in two steps. Patch 3.1 raised it from 100-120% to 140-180%, and the Season 15 notes raised it again to 180-220%.

How the third attack works

Spiritborn Basic skills are combo attacks with several parts, and the weapon forces the third one on every cast. Every third cast also strikes three times, so the pattern repeats in a three-beat cycle. The staff always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Basic Skills, which levels the skills the power relies on.

Because Basic skills are the ones that normally generate Vigor, the staff gives you a damage engine that does not need to spend resource.
