Your base Focus Skills benefit from all their Upgrades, and they increase the damage of your Potency Skills by 60-70% for 8 seconds, up to 300-350%. Each use of a Focus skill adds a stack, so the cap is reached after several uses.

Season 15 raised the numbers: the damage per stack went from 40-50% to 60-70%, and the maximum from 200-250% to 300-350%.

Focus and Potency skills

In the game data the Spiritborn Focus skills are Vortex, Soar, Ravager and Toxic Skin, and the Potency skills include Payback, Razor Wings, Rushing Claw and Touch of Death. The staff gives the Focus skills every upgrade, whatever you picked, which makes them much more flexible. Potency skills such as Rushing Claw already come with their own damage options. The staff always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Potency Skills.

Because the bonus lasts 8 seconds and adds to a stack, a rotation that uses a Focus skill regularly keeps the stack close to its cap while the Potency skills do the hitting.
