The power of Herald of Zakarum

One power lifts four stats at once: Strength, Resistance, Armor and Retribution Chance all go up, and Retribution gains 50% increased Size. The shield also carries a fixed Thorns affix.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Since patch 3.1.0 every Unique drops with two fixed affixes, and on Herald of Zakarum they are Primary Core Stat and Thorns. It is class-locked: only the Paladin can equip it. A Unique Charm version exists, so the same power can also be placed in a Talisman charm slot. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Where it comes from

Herald of Zakarum is part of the loot table of Astaroth, the boss at the end of Escalating Nightmare Dungeons; the boss element type is Fire. An Escalation Sigil opens the run, and Astaroth needs Torment 1 or higher. The Paladin part of that table also lists Griswold's Opus.
