A storm that grows faster

Lightning Storm gains 1 additional strike each time it grows and deals bonus damage. The growth is the part that matters: the longer the storm is channeled, the more times it grows, and each step adds one more strike.

The bonus is smaller on a short channel and larger on a long one, so the gloves suit a build that stands and channels its storm.

Lightning Storm in short

Lightning Storm is a Core Druid skill that costs Spirit. You conjure a growing lightning storm that deals damage per strike, and the number of strikes increases the longer the storm is channeled. The upgrades in the game data include Additional Strikes (one more strike, and one more per stack of Ferocity), Supercell (the storm may grow one more time), Omnibolt (all strikes are combined into one) and Hero of the Storm (the storm travels with you). The gloves always drop with a main stat and Skill Ranks to Lightning Storm.

Supercell lets the storm grow one more time, which gives the gloves one more strike to add, so the two work together.
