Hydra as a Core Skill

The amulet makes Hydra a Core Skill with an increased Mana cost, and every attack of the Hydra now explodes for 110-150% increased damage. Moving a skill into the Core category also means everything that boosts Core Skills starts to apply to it.

The higher Mana cost is the trade. Players who want this amulet are building around Hydra and accept paying more per cast in return for the area damage.

Hydra in short

Hydra is a Sorcerer Conjuration skill. It summons a three-headed Hydra for several seconds, and each head spits fire at enemies. Its Skill Variants include Frigid Hydra, Bathed in Flame and Behemoth. The amulet also always drops with Skill Ranks to Hydra.

Two of its upgrades: Overpower gives an extra head for every 3 Overpower you hold on cast, and Cooldown Reduction takes 0.3 seconds off a random skill whenever the Hydra attacks. The explosions come from the amulet and sit on top of whatever the heads already do.
