The power of Gathlen’s Birthright

Cyclone Armor is triggered by itself once every 5 seconds, and the passive of Cyclone Armor grants you Damage Reduction. Season 15 changed the helm so that it also grants Cyclone Armor's passive, while the Damage Reduction only applies when you are in Human form. The helm carries a fixed skill rank for Cyclone Armor.

Affixes and gear details

With Lord of Hatred, Uniques carry fewer preset affixes, which leaves more room to chase a better combination. Since patch 3.1.0 every Unique drops with two fixed affixes, and on Gathlen’s Birthright they are Primary Core Stat and Skill Ranks to Cyclone Armor. It is class-locked: only the Druid can equip it. Unique items can be tempered, and since patch 3.1.0 Enchanting can alter the affixes of Unique and Mythic Unique items.

Drop rules

Since Season 15, every Unique item can drop from level 1 and in any difficulty, and Gathlen’s Birthright follows the same rule. Lair Boss loot tables weight certain Uniques toward each boss, and Mythic Uniques dropped by Lair Bosses are taken from that boss's own pool, apart from a small chance through their generic loot.
