Basic Skills on every Core cast

Casting a Core Skill triggers a random equipped Basic Skill at a random enemy, which deals increased damage. The triggered skill is a free extra hit on top of the cast that caused it.

The triggered Basic Skill deals increased damage, so the staff makes a Basic Skill worth equipping even for a build that mainly casts Core skills.

The Sorcerer's Basic Skills

The game data lists four Basic skills for the Sorcerer: Arc Lash, Fire Bolt, Frost Bolt and Spark. Arc Lash unleashes arcing lightning in front of you, Fire Bolt hurls a flaming bolt that leaves Burning damage, Frost Bolt throws a bolt that Chills, and Spark shocks an enemy several times. The staff picks among the ones on your bar, so a bar with two Basic skills gets triggers of both, in random order. The staff always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Basic Skills.

Season 15 made Vox Omnium craftable into a Unique Charm. A two-handed staff takes the entire weapon slot.
