Diablo 4 Scorn of the Earth Spiritborn Unique Boots

Your Evade is now Soar. Soar deals increased damage and triggers Vortex at its landing location.

That turns the standard dodge button into one of the Spiritborn's damaging Focus skills. Every Evade you make flies into the air, lands on the target area with damage, and pulls enemies in.

Soar is a Focus skill with a cooldown: you fly into the air, create a cloud that makes enemies at the target location Vulnerable, and crash down on them. Vortex is also a Focus skill: it creates a cyclone that Pulls enemies inward, followed by a crushing downdraft that deals damage. The boots chain the two, so one jump gathers enemies and hits them again. The boots always drop with Skill Ranks to Soar.

Among the Soar upgrades in the game data are Free Bird (Unstoppable for a short time) and Jaguar's Execution (Soar becomes a Jaguar skill dealing Fire damage twice). Size Bonus makes the impact area 50% larger, and Cooldown Reduction takes 3 seconds off Soar.

• Slot and class: Boots, usable by Spiritborn.
• Fixed affixes: it always drops with Primary Core Stat and Skill Ranks to Soar.
• Where it drops: in the loot table of The Beast in the Ice, a Lair Boss found at the Glacial Fissure, south-west of Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks. The fight needs Torment 1 or higher, and 1x Lair Key opens the Hoard after the kill.

• Torment I difficulty unlocked.
• The Vessel of Hatred expansion, which brought the Spiritborn class.

Which class can wear Scorn of the Earth?

Only the Spiritborn.

Can I still Evade normally?

No. While the boots are on, the Evade slot is replaced by Soar.

What do Soar and Vortex do on their own?

Soar flies you into the air and crashes you down on the target area, making enemies there Vulnerable. Vortex creates a cyclone that Pulls enemies inward, followed by a downdraft that deals damage.
