Diablo 4 Ring of the Midnight Sun Spiritborn Ring

When you Critically Strike, you regain a share of the Vigor you have spent in the last 2 seconds. The refund looks back over a two-second window, so it scales with how much you cast and how often your hits crit.

You also gain Counterattack's Passive Effect. The passive gives Dodge Chance and makes you retaliate against Close enemies when you Dodge their attacks.

Counterattack is a Defensive skill of the Spiritborn. Its passive part gives Dodge Chance and retaliates automatically against Close enemies when you dodge, and its active part lets you dodge direct attacks for a few seconds. The ring does not give the active, only the passive, so a build can keep Counterattack off the bar and still have the retaliation. The ring always drops with Critical Strike Chance, which feeds the Vigor refund.

A fast, critical-heavy build gets the most from this ring: every crit refunds part of the recent spending, so a high crit rate turns the refund into near-constant Vigor.

• Slot and class: Ring, usable by Spiritborn.
• Fixed affixes: it always drops with Primary Core Stat and Critical Strike Chance.
• Unique Charm: a Unique Charm version of this item exists.

• Torment I difficulty unlocked.
• The Vessel of Hatred expansion, which brought the Spiritborn class.

Which class can wear Ring of the Midnight Sun?

Only the Spiritborn.

Do I need Counterattack on my bar?

No. The ring gives you the passive effect by itself.
