Diablo 4 Overkill Barbarian Unique Two-Handed Mace

With Overkill equipped, Death Blow gains all of its Upgrades for free and deals increased damage. The usual choice between a skill's upgrade paths disappears for Death Blow, because the mace gives it every one of them.

The mace is for a Barbarian who already wants Death Blow as the finisher. It does not touch other skills, so the rest of the bar has to carry its own weight.

Death Blow is a Weapon Mastery skill of the Barbarian. Its Upgrades are Execute, Overpower, Fury Generation and Charges, among them one that restores Fury when Death Blow kills and one that lets you finish off enemies you have hit with any attack within 2 seconds. Overkill gives you all of them at once, and the weapon also always drops with Skill Ranks to Death Blow.

Upgrades such as Fury Generation (killing with Death Blow restores 100% of your Fury) and Execute (enemies you hit can be finished by any attack within 2 seconds, which resets the cooldown) normally each take a pick on the skill tree. With the mace, you no longer have to choose. Death Blow still has a cooldown, so its rhythm is set by the skill itself and not by the weapon.

• Slot and class: Two-handed mace, usable by Barbarian.
• Fixed affixes: it always drops with Weapon Damage and Skill Ranks to Death Blow.
• Where it drops: in the loot table of Echo of Varshan, a Lair Boss found at the Malignant Burrow near the Tree of Whispers Waypoint in Hawezar. The fight needs Torment 1 or higher, and 1x Lair Key opens the Hoard after the kill.

• Torment I difficulty unlocked.

Which class can use Overkill?

Only the Barbarian. It is a two-handed mace and uses the full weapon slot.

Does Overkill work for other Barbarian skills?

No. The power is written for Death Blow only.
