Captain Avarokk is the final boss of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon, and this lot is the repeat-farm for him: the last encounter is played again and again, up to fifteen times, to collect the dungeon loot. It suits players who already have the dungeon and need a missing weapon or armor piece.

Key facts

Boss	Captain Avarokk, final encounter of Grasp of Avarice
Legendary weapons	Eyasluna, Hero of Ages, 1000 Yard Stare, Matador 64
Armor sets	Twisting Echo (Hunter), Descending Echo (Titan), Corrupting Echo (Warlock)
Dungeon	Grasp of Avarice in the Cosmodrome; fireteam of up to 3
Access	Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, included in Destiny 2: The Collection

What you get

The final Avarokk encounter run the number of times set in Number Of Runs (1 to 15).
Every drop of those runs, aimed at the four Legendary weapons and the Echo armor.
Self-play (Sherpa) as an extra.

What can drop

The weapon table is Eyasluna (Stasis Hand Cannon), Hero of Ages (Arc Sword), 1000 Yard Stare (Void Sniper Rifle) and Matador 64 (Arc Shotgun). Armor comes as Twisting Echo for Hunters, Descending Echo for Titans and Corrupting Echo for Warlocks. Since Update 9.7.0 dungeon gear drops with Gear Tiers: a Master run drops Tier 5 weapons and armor, and a Standard run drops Tier 5 only when the dungeon is one of the two featured that week.

Fit

Repeating the last boss skips the earlier encounters, so a run is much shorter than a full clear. It does not replace the completion triumphs: those still need the whole dungeon, and the Master Complete triumph needs Master difficulty.

Requirements

Grasp of Avarice unlocked on your account through the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, which Bungie lists among the packs included in Destiny 2: The Collection.
The final encounter has to be reachable on your character.

Captain Avarokk Farm FAQ

Will a specific weapon drop?

No. Drops are random between the four weapons and the armor, so the run count is a way to buy more rolls.

Does it give the Master vehicle?

No. Gjallarswift comes from the Master Complete triumph, which needs a full Master clear.
