False Idols

The Vortex Frame defines how it handles: "Heavy attack: Launch a heavy spin attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy." Its frame family also gives it the intrinsic Overload anti-Champion effect that Update 9.7.0 attached to every archetype. The origin trait Dealer's Choice reads: Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of Super energy. Equipping multiple weapons from the Pale Heart increases this effect.

Trait column one of False Idols can roll Strategist, Attrition Orbs, Wellspring, Unrelenting, Duelist's Trance, Incandescent, Relentless Strikes, Flash Counter and Eager Edge. Trait column two can roll Surrounded, Chain Reaction, Bait and Switch, Vorpal Weapon, Counterattack, Collective Action, One for All, Burning Ambition and Elemental Honing. Every one of these trait perks has an enhanced version. The blade slot offers five options and the guard slot five.

False Idols belongs to The Final Shape's Pale Heart weapon set. Collections gives exploring the Pale Heart as its source, and Ghost's Pale Heart weapon focusing offers it together with Bold Endings, The Call and Someday.

• False Idols through the Weapon Perks option: a roll with random perks (1 to 30 rolls), a roll with 1 chosen perk, or a God Roll with 2 chosen perks.
• You tell a pro player the perks you want: one perk such as Burning Ambition, or two together such as Burning Ambition and Duelist's Trance.
• No Weapon Tier option: the current False Idols has no gear-tier slot in the game data, so the copies come without a tier.

• An active Destiny 2 account.
• The Final Shape expansion, which includes the Pale Heart destination.

Can False Idols be crafted?

A crafting pattern exists for it in the game data, and crafted weapons can reach Gear Tier 5 through Weapon Level Boost, as Update 9.7.0 describes.

What does a chosen perk mean for False Idols?

With a roll with 1 chosen perk the pro player aims for one perk you name, such as Strategist; with a God Roll with 2 chosen perks you name two that must sit on the same weapon, such as Strategist and Collective Action.
