About the set

The manifest lists 15 Deep Explorer items in total, five slots for each of the three classes, all from the Duality dungeon. Since Update 9.7.0 dungeon armor carries a set bonus of its own and a Gear Tier: a Master run drops Tier 5, while a Standard run drops Tier 5 only when Duality is featured that week. Armor 3.0 itself offers twelve archetypes, and the Deep Explorer set bonus perks are Built Bitter for two pieces and Bittersweet for four.

Where the pieces drop

All fifteen pieces come out of the same dungeon, whose Legendary weapon pool is Stormchaser, Unforgiven, Lingering Dread, New Purpose, The Epicurean and Fixed Odds. Runs for armor therefore also bring weapons, and the exotic sword Heartshadow can drop as a rare extra.

Requirements

Duality unlocked on your account through its Dungeon Key, included in Destiny 2: The Collection.
A Guardian of the class that should wear the armor.

Full Deep Explorer Armor Set FAQ

Is Deep Explorer class specific?

Yes. Each class has its own helmet, gauntlets, chest, legs and class item, so the order must name the class.

Can I order a single piece?

Yes. The Options list has one tick box per slot (Helmet, Gauntlets, Chest Armor, Leg Armor, Class Item) next to the full-set choice.
