In the Shadow of the Mountain Quest

• The quest steps you tick, or the Full Quest, completed on your character.
• Dungeon drops from the clears the quest requires.
• Options on the form: Secret Chests, Self-play (Sherpa).

• 1 and 2: complete Warlord's Ruin and collect a corrupted Ahamkara bone.
• 3: five Dark Ether Tinctures.
• 4 to 8: restore the Bones of Hefnd in three batches, then gather the Dark Ether and Blighted Wishing Glass that empower the portal in the Blighted Keep, and reclaim Hefnd's Bones.
• The quest closes with a return to Hefnd's Cairn and a report to Ikora.

Buried Bloodline is earned from the dungeon itself, and its catalyst record asks you to defeat targets with the sidearm and help other players with the catalyst puzzle. The quest is a separate chain through the Blighted Keep, and the game data lists an Exotic Engram as its reward. The nine Bones of Hefnd are spread through the dungeon: the first sits across the bridge inside the first fort, and later ones lie in the snowfallen maze and beyond the portcullis in the Tempest.

• Warlord's Ruin unlocked on your account: Bungie lists its Dungeon Key among the keys included in Destiny 2: The Collection.
• Step 1 and 2 is a full dungeon clear, so a character that can run it is needed.

Do I have to buy the full quest?

No. Quest Steps List lets you tick single steps, from the dungeon clear in 1 and 2 to Reclaim Hefnd's Bones in 8.

Does the quest give Buried Bloodline?

The exotic drops from the dungeon at random. The quest is a separate goal through the Blighted Keep; the game data lists an Exotic Engram as its reward.
