Buried Bloodline Catalyst

While Devour is active, Buried Bloodline weakens the target it hits. The Sidearm's own frame, Violent Reanimation, grants Devour after multiple final blows, so the catalyst builds on a buff the weapon already makes.

Its intrinsic, Hungering Quarrel, double-fires tracking bolts that leech health from the target, so the Sidearm gains a debuff role next to its damage role.

The catalyst is acquired by solving the catalyst puzzle in the Warlord's Ruin dungeon, and its triumph also asks you to defeat targets with the Sidearm. The record text adds that you should assist other players with their own Buried Bloodline puzzle.

The lot offers the Exotic itself, the quest called In the Shadow of the Mountain and the masterwork as separate options.

• Buried Bloodline Catalyst added to your account.
• Additional Options: Obtain Buried Bloodline; the quest option for In the Shadow of the Mountain; Add Catalyst Masterwork. Extras: Self-play (Sherpa).

• The Buried Bloodline Exotic on the account, or the Obtain Buried Bloodline option.
• Warlord's Ruin unlocked with its Dungeon Key.

Do I need the quest first?

The game data does not tie the catalyst to that quest: the catalyst record asks for defeats with the Sidearm and help with other players' catalyst puzzles. In the Shadow of the Mountain is a separate option of the lot.

Which dungeon holds the puzzle?

Warlord's Ruin, which is listed among the dungeons available today.
