Grand Overture Catalyst

Once installed, the catalyst gives the weapon Grand Overture Catalyst: Omega Strike hits blind combatants, and combatants it defeats explode. The catalyst also raises handling and stability. Blinding with the volley and exploding what dies is a crowd-control upgrade for a weapon that already deals with groups.

The intrinsic of Grand Overture is Wrath of the Colossus: a heavy slug launcher that charges and then fires full auto while the trigger is held. Omega Strike: slug hits load micro-missiles, and an alternate weapon action fires them in a volley. The other fixed perks on the weapon are Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds and Hand-Laid Stock.

The quest Heavy Does It from Banshee-44 is how the catalyst is obtained today. The opening step asks for rebuilding the catalyst by defeating Cabal, defeating targets with Power weapons and defeating targets rapidly. Calibration follows: defeat targets with Grand Overture, with progress coming from Ops activities and extra progress from Crucible wins. Banshee-44 then gives you the catalyst. The catalyst record counts 400 targets defeated with Grand Overture. Progress shows on the catalyst's record in the Exotic Catalysts section of the Triumphs screen.

• Grand Overture catalyst, unlocked and delivered to your account, without the masterwork step.
• Extras on the order form: Self-play (Sherpa) and Add Catalyst Masterwork.

• Grand Overture already unlocked on the account, because the catalyst is slotted into that machine gun.

How do I get the masterwork too?

Use the extra named Add Catalyst Masterwork. Without it the order covers the catalyst itself.

How does Wrath of the Colossus work on Grand Overture?

A heavy slug launcher that charges and then fires full auto while the trigger is held.

Where do I get Grand Overture itself?

Grand Overture is sold in the Exotic Archive at the Monument to Lost Lights, for an Exotic Cipher and Glimmer. Buying it needs The Witch Queen. The catalyst fits that weapon alone.
