Witherhoard Catalyst

Once installed, the catalyst gives the weapon Silent Alarm: handling goes up, and holstering the weapon reloads it automatically after a short time. A launcher that is holstered between fights ends up loaded without any extra input.

On Witherhoard, Primeval's Torment works like this: projectiles blight the target or the nearby area on impact. On top of that sit its weapon perks. Break the Bank: blighted targets take damage over time and blight the area around them when they die. The other fixed perks on the weapon are Countermass, Black Powder and Composite Stock.

Banshee-44 offers the quest The Bank Job. It starts with a talk at the Tower, then asks you to acquire Vault Keys by defeating combatants with Kinetic or Energy Grenade Launchers, where rapid defeats raise the chance of a key. Next you earn points by rapidly defeating targets with Grenade Launchers and by defeating Guardians with them, with points coming from Ops activities. The quest ends with a visit to Banshee-44, who gives you the catalyst. The catalyst record counts 400 targets defeated with Witherhoard. Progress shows on the catalyst's record in the Exotic Catalysts section of the Triumphs screen.
