Pit of Heresy is the Moon dungeon that descends beneath Sorrow's Harbor into the Hive's darkest secrets, and this lot clears it on your Guardian. The Difficulty list has two choices, Full Completion and Solo Flawless Completion, and the Number Of Characters selector repeats the clear on more of your characters.

Loot and triumphs

The manifest sources one Legendary weapon to the dungeon, Premonition (a Void Pulse Rifle with the High-Impact frame), plus the fifteen Apostate's Blade armor pieces, the Bane of Tyrants ship and the emblems Crimson Echoes and Sanguine Static. Eternal Heretic asks for a fireteam clear without dying, Usurper for a solo clear and Savior of the Deep for a solo clear without dying, which rewards Crimson Echoes. Since Update 9.7.0 dungeon gear drops with Gear Tiers: a Master run drops Tier 5 weapons and armor, and a Standard run drops Tier 5 only when the dungeon is one of the two featured that week.

Requirements

Pit of Heresy unlocked on your account: Bungie lists it among the dungeons covered by Destiny 2: The Collection.

Pit of Heresy FAQ

What does Solo Flawless mean here?

A solo clear of the whole dungeon without dying and without leaving the activity, which is the Savior of the Deep triumph.

Does the dungeon drop an exotic?

No exotic is in its drop table in the game data. Xenophage, the exotic machine gun, comes from the quest The Journey, which leads beneath Sorrow's Harbor, and is not part of this lot.

Who is the final boss?

Zulmak. The Monument triumph Sword Logic Supreme asks players to defeat him with a Hive Sword.
