The Comedian

What sets it apart is the Aggressive Frame, which the game sums up as "Hard-hitting, high recoil. Increases rate of fire after final blows." Since Update 9.7.0 every weapon carries an intrinsic anti-Champion effect by archetype, and this frame carries the Unstoppable effect. Origin trait Stunning Recovery: Stunning a Champion refills your magazine, triggers health regeneration, and improves recovery for a short duration. It can also carry Vanguard's Vindication.

Trait column one of The Comedian can roll Bottomless Grief, Lead from Gold, Hip-Fire Grip, Subsistence, Ensemble, Genesis, Stats for All and Steady Hands. Trait column two can roll Adrenaline Junkie, Unrelenting, One for All, Trench Barrel, Thresh, Vorpal Weapon and Turnabout. None of these trait perks has an enhanced version. The barrel slot offers six options and the magazine slot eight.

A closer look at two of the choices, in the game's own wording:

• Genesis: Breaking a combatant's shield with this weapon fills its magazine from reserves.
• Unrelenting: Rapidly defeating targets triggers health regeneration.

Commander Zavala keeps The Comedian on his legacy weapons list, the older gear he can still focus.

• The Comedian through the Weapon Perks option: a roll with random perks (1 to 30 rolls), a roll with 1 chosen perk, or a God Roll with 2 chosen perks.
• For a chosen perk you tell the pro player which perk you want, for example Stats for All; for the God Roll you name two, for example Stats for All with Turnabout.

• An active Destiny 2 account.

Is The Comedian a legacy weapon?

Yes. Legacy weapons are older drops that were not moved to the current tier system, and the game data shows no gear-tier sockets on this weapon.

What does a chosen perk mean for The Comedian?

With a roll with 1 chosen perk the pro player aims for one perk you name, such as Ensemble; with a God Roll with 2 chosen perks you name two that must sit on the same weapon, such as Ensemble and One for All.
