The Dead Messenger bundle covers the Exotic mission Vox Obscura on Normal and on Master, which is where the exotic grenade launcher Dead Messenger and its catalyst come from.

Key facts

Activity	Vox Obscura, an Exotic mission in Pinnacle Ops; Normal and Master versions
Weapon	Dead Messenger: Void exotic Grenade Launcher, special ammo, energy slot; alternate action cycles Void, Arc and Solar damage
Catalyst	Dead Messenger Catalyst: source Exotic mission "Vox Obscura" in Pinnacle Ops; triumph Catalytic Converter refers to the Master difficulty catalyst
Mission triumphs	Signal Jammer (clear); Tank Master (Master clear); Ghost Not Needed (Master clear without dying); Old Foes Rise Again (all four Psionic propaganda messages)
Pattern	Dead Messenger has a Pattern: completing Deepsight Resonance extractions unlocks it

Vox Obscura in two difficulties

Bungie lists Vox Obscura among the Exotic missions available now. The triumph Signal Jammer asks for a normal clear and Tank Master for a Master clear. The Dead Messenger Catalyst names the mission in Pinnacle Ops as its source, and the triumph Catalytic Converter refers to the catalyst earned on Master. This bundle runs both difficulties so that the weapon and the catalyst come from one order, and the Master clear can also count toward Ghost Not Needed when it is done without a death.

What you get

Dead Messenger, the Void exotic grenade launcher with its Trinary Vision intrinsic.
The Dead Messenger Catalyst, earned on the Master run.

Ultimate Dead Messenger Bundle FAQ

What does Dead Messenger do?

It is a one-shot handheld grenade launcher whose projectiles release a fan of three energy waves on contact with the ground. Its alternate action cycles damage between Void, Arc and Solar.

Can Dead Messenger be crafted?

Yes. Bungie's records give the launcher a Pattern, unlocked by completing Deepsight Resonance extractions.

Why Master difficulty?

The Master clear is the one the Catalytic Converter triumph refers to, and Ghost Not Needed asks for a Master clear without dying.
