Umbra PvP Build

Umbra Initiative rewards positioning: while you sit in cover you build stacks that raise critical hit damage and rate of fire, and while you are out of cover in combat you build stacks that regenerate armor. The two stack types cover both halves of a gunfight, which suits PvP fights.

The NinjaBike Messenger Bag fills one set slot as a wildcard: its Resourceful talent counts as a piece of any equipped gear set or brand set, so the set bonus keeps its full value while the backpack slot is free for the exotic.

• Umbra Initiative gear set pieces with critical hit chance and damage, and the RPK-74 with the Flatline talent.
• NinjaBike backpack, Contractor's Gloves and Picaro's Holster, plus mods for crit chance and crit damage.
• Skill kit: Jammer Pulse and Stinger Hive; specialization Technician.
• Core Stats sets the armor pieces to Weapon Damage (red) or Armor (blue).
• 'I have NinjaBike Backpack' removes the backpack from the order; 'Add Catharsis Mask' adds the exotic mask whose Vicious Cycle talent builds damage from hits taken.
• Three upgrade levels exist: the base build, 'High-Stat Armor (95%)' with near-maximum armor and mod rolls, and 'Upgrade Gear to Prototype', which raises the non-exotic gear to the tier above Gear Set items.

• Level 40, with an SHD level of at least 100.
• For the Prototype options: each converted piece must be at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30); exotic pieces are not converted.

What is the point of the NinjaBike?

It counts toward any gear set or brand set bonus, so the set still reaches its four-piece talent with one backpack slot spent on a wildcard.

Can the Umbra stacks be used in PvE?

Yes, the set works anywhere, but the build's skills and mods are chosen for PvP fights.
