Bright Dust Farming

• The Bright Dust amount you set, earned on your account.
• Progress in the activities used to earn it.
• Loot dropped on the way.

Update 9.7.0 raised the weekly sources: 20 Bright Dust per daily objective and 100 per weekly objective, a weekly hub bonus of 20, a 1,000 total on the weekly reward track, Orders (10 for a Normal one, 100 for a Legendary, 200 for an Exotic, up to 1,500 a week before the soft cap) and 250 per Vanguard Alert, which can be earned twice a week.

Eververse sells ornaments, shaders and accessories for Bright Dust, and Bright Engram Focusing costs 300, 600 or 900 Bright Dust per category on top of an engram. Exotic weapon ornaments, exotic emotes and armor ornaments sit in the 900 Bright Dust focusing tier. Rewards Pass tracks also pay Bright Dust, and the Triumphant pass, whose rewards all sit on the track open to every player, pays 14,000 in total. After the weekly soft cap Orders keep paying without a limit, at 10 Bright Dust for every ten Normal Orders, 20 for a Legendary and 30 for an Exotic one, with the Legendary rate doubled.

• A Destiny 2 account with access to the Seasonal Hub (it is part of the Director).
• Space in your inventory and vault for the loot.

Is this a Bright Dust purchase?

No. The team plays the activities that pay Bright Dust, so the amount depends on weekly caps and takes time.

Does Bright Dust expire?

Bungie says balances keep their value and stay relevant after Update 9.7.0.
