How Heir Apparent works

Heavy Slug Thrower is the intrinsic trait: aiming down sights spins the weapon up, and it only fires once it is fully spun up.

Armor of the Colossus adds the defence. While you are at full health, spinning the gun up surrounds you with an Arc shield. The catalyst, Legion's Bulwark, makes that shield tougher and partially reloads the magazine if the shield is destroyed.

From Guardian Games to the Monument

The weapon started life as a Guardian Games reward. Guardian Games was retired with Update 9.7.0 on 9 June 2026, and the Exotic now appears among the Tenet of Bravery rewards at the Monument of Triumph, bought with Legendary Marks.

Legendary Marks come from Monument of Triumph triumphs, and the Monument stays in the game indefinitely.

The Superblack shader is a cosmetic add-on and does not change the weapon's perks.
