The Renegades campaign is the story of the December 2025 expansion, where you confront the Barant Imperium and the Syndicates on the Lawless Frontier, and this lot plays it on your Guardian. The Difficulty list offers the full campaign or specific missions, each on Normal or Legendary.

Key facts

Expansion	Renegades, launched on 2 December 2025
Missions list on the form	Story missions Imperium, Welcome to Frontier, Fearsome Retainer, Out in the Cold, Fire and Ice, The Long Con, Glory Beyond; Job zones Forging Matrix, Selina Morass, Hellas Fortitude
Difficulties	Be Brave (classic) and Become Legend (harder missions)
Exotic	Praxic Blade (Kinetic Sword), claimed in the Fire and Ice mission
Triumphs	Renegade's Journey (main quest), Frontier Domination (all Legendary), The Dredgen Dash (Glory Beyond in under 15 minutes)

What you get

The full campaign or the missions you tick, completed on each character you order (one to three).
The Praxic Blade exotic sword, handed over when the story reaches Fire and Ice.
On Legendary, the extra rewards that Bungie attaches to finishing every Legendary mission, per class.

The Missions list

Imperium, Welcome to Frontier, Fearsome Retainer, Out in the Cold, Fire and Ice, The Long Con and Glory Beyond are story missions.
Forging Matrix, Selina Morass and Hellas Fortitude are the Lawless Frontier zones on Europa, Venus and Mars where the story sends you on Jobs.
Specific missions must be unlocked, so earlier ones must be done or ticked as well. Fire and Ice is also the Praxic Order exotic mission.

Difficulties

Bungie names the two campaign difficulties Be Brave, the classic one, and Become Legend, with harder missions and stronger combatants. The Frontier Domination Triumph needs all missions on Legendary, and Renegade's Journey the main quest. Completing all Legendary missions provides additional rewards per class, and Fire and Ice doubles as the Praxic Order exotic mission.

Requirements

The Renegades expansion on your account (Renegades Standard Edition is part of Destiny 2: The Collection).

Renegades Campaign FAQ

Is the Praxic Blade part of Specific Missions?

It is claimed in Fire and Ice, so an order that reaches that mission carries it; the missions before it have to be done first.

Can I play it myself with help?

Self-play (Sherpa) is an extra on the form for that.
