What changed in 9.7.0

Update 9.7.0 added The Whisper and Zero Hour to Pinnacle Ops. Their exotics are now awarded on completion like the other exotic missions, the secrets inside are still completable for their triumphs, and the old quests tied to them were retired. Enemy density was updated from the original version, and the mission reads as a fast-paced reprisal of an earlier point in the game with secrets inside. The Whisper left the game with the Year 4 vault before returning.

The rifle

Whisper of the Worm is a heavy-slot Solar Sniper Rifle with the White Nail intrinsic. The triumph Familiar Territory asks you to complete The Whisper with the rifle equipped, which pays a Legendary Mark. The Collections list also shows the rifle under the Exotic Archive at the Tower.

Requirements

The Whisper is available to all players, as Bungie states.

The Whisper Exotic Mission FAQ

Is the rifle awarded each run?

It is awarded on completion if it is not in your collection yet.

Why so many runs allowed?

The mission is short, so the slider goes up to fifty.

Does Zero Hour come with it?

No. Zero Hour is a separate exotic mission with its own exotic, Outbreak Perfected.

Where is it launched?

From Pinnacle Ops, since the legacy Exotic Mission Rotator was retired.
